IATF 16949 is automotive quality management system standard in supply chain developed by IATF (International Automotive Task Force), which is comprised of global car manufacturers such as GM and Ford and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) with an aim of continual improvement, defect prevention, and reduction of variation and waste in car parts related organizations. Based on ISO 9001 (quality management system) standard, IATF 16949 contains the automotive sector's additional system requirements. |
